- Lead and manage sales operations to achieve budgeted revenue, volume, and profitability targets
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies, selling cycles, and go-to-market plans
- Plan and implement integrated marketing initiatives, including advertising and PR
- Build and manage strong customer and partner relationships, including farmers, distributors, and agencies Identify new market opportunities, including export markets, and drive expansion strategies Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends to inform business decisions Oversee forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance of the commercial function Own and drive brand performance, market share growth, and competitive positioning Lead and develop cross-functional teams to deliver high performance
- Strong Business Acumen - Deep understanding of partner profitability models
- Channel Expertise - Solid grasp of channel dynamics including incentives, burn-rate and relationship management
- Sales Leadership - Proven ability to deliver results in unpredictable and competitive environments
- Marketing Capability - Creative, adaptable, and able to work cross-functionally
- Commercial Expertise - Excellent negotiation, communication, and sales enablement skills
- People Leadership - Experience managing teams, including remote staff
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field Membership with a relevant professional body
- Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in Commercial
- At least 4 years at a senior management level
- Prior experience in FMCG is essential
