  • Lead and manage the global advocacy team
  • Drive and implement CBM's global advocacy strategy in line with organisational priorities
  • Oversee the development and use of advocacy products and tools, including policy briefs, position papers, and the CBM Advocacy Toolkit
  • Ensure organisational alignment and coherence of advocacy work across CBM
  • Analyse political narratives, policy developments, and political trends related to Disability-Inclusive Development, including specific sectors such as Health, Education and Humanitarian Action.
  • Identify advocacy opportunities and develop evidence-based recommendations for engagement
  • Link programmatic evidence with policy influencing and advocacy objectives
  • Represent CBM at high-level political and global advocacy events and lead CBM delegations
  • Ensure coordinated and effective CBM engagement in global policy spaces
  • Build and manage high-level relationships with key stakeholders, including UN agencies, governments, coalitions, and Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs)
  • Identify and manage advocacy-related risks, including political and reputational considerations
  • Monitor advocacy outcomes and strengthen the use of evidence to inform positioning, messaging, and decision-making
  • Provide relevant advocacy insights and analysis to senior management
These are your qualifications:
  • A Master's degree in Political Science, Social Sciences, or an equivalent field
  • At least 10 years of experience in policy advocacy, preferably within an international civil society organisation
  • 5-10 years of leadership experience managing international teams
  • Strong understanding of political processes at national and global levels
  • Knowledge of human rights frameworks and international processes, including CRPD and the SDGs
  • Proven ability to connect programmatic evidence with policy and advocacy goals
  • Strong critical thinking and the ability to develop clear, well-structured arguments, particularly for policy analysis and writing
  • A results-oriented approach
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of French, Spanish, or German will be an added advantage
  • Identification with Christian values and the mandate of CBM
