- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain the general ledger and oversee timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Reconcile bank accounts, revenue accounts, and balance sheet items.
- Provide management accounts and operational financial insights to hospital leadership.
- Oversee patient billing, insurance claims, and corporate client invoicing.
- Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition from consultations, diagnostics, procedures, and pharmacy services.
- Monitor revenue discrepancies and coordinate their resolution.
- Monitor insurance, corporate, and patient receivables.
- Oversee accounts payable for suppliers, service providers, and vendors.
- Process hospital payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions including PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, and other mandated contributions.
- Prepare payroll-related statutory returns and maintain compliance records.
- Maintain strong financial controls over patient billing, cash collections, and pharmacy inventory.
- Support the preparation of departmental budgets and provide variance analysis of expenditures.
- Supervise, train, and guide the finance, billing, and payroll staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA (K), ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Minimum 5-7 years' accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a healthcare or hospital environment.
- Proven experience in revenue cycle management, insurance claims, and hospital billing systems.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and financial software.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP standards and healthcare-specific tax regulations.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
