  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Maintain the general ledger and oversee timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, revenue accounts, and balance sheet items.
  • Provide management accounts and operational financial insights to hospital leadership.
Revenue Cycle & Billing Management
  • Oversee patient billing, insurance claims, and corporate client invoicing.
  • Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition from consultations, diagnostics, procedures, and pharmacy services.
  • Monitor revenue discrepancies and coordinate their resolution.
Receivables & Payables Management
  • Monitor insurance, corporate, and patient receivables.
  • Oversee accounts payable for suppliers, service providers, and vendors.
Payroll Management
  • Process hospital payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions including PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, and other mandated contributions.
  • Prepare payroll-related statutory returns and maintain compliance records.
Internal Controls & Budgeting
  • Maintain strong financial controls over patient billing, cash collections, and pharmacy inventory.
  • Support the preparation of departmental budgets and provide variance analysis of expenditures.
  • Supervise, train, and guide the finance, billing, and payroll staff.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA (K), ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • Minimum 5-7 years' accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a healthcare or hospital environment.
  • Proven experience in revenue cycle management, insurance claims, and hospital billing systems.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and financial software.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP standards and healthcare-specific tax regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
