- Supervision of Solar System Installations Oversee and ensure the successful installation and commissioning of solar power systems at the following facilities: Nairobi Remand and Allocation Prison (Nairobi)
- Naivasha Prison (Nakuru)
- Butere Law Courts (Kakamega)
- Tigania Law Courts (Meru)
- Webuye Law Courts (Bungoma)
- Kehancha Law Courts (Migori)
- Ogembo Law Courts (Kisii)
- Marsabit Law Courts (Marsabit)
- Site Assessments and Installation
- Oversight Conduct physical site visits, develop detailed technical specifications, and oversee the installation of solar power systems at the following locations:Makadara Law Courts (Nairobi)
- Garissa Law Courts
- Migori Law Courts
- EACC Kisii Regional Office
- WPA Regional Office - Kisumu (portable solar unit)
- WPA Regional Office - Mombasa (portable solar unit)
- Advisory and Technical Support
- Provide additional technical and advisory support for other solar energy initiatives under the PLEAD programme, including guidance on maintenance, repairs, and any emerging technical needs.
- An advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Building & Construction or other relevant discipline is required.
- A first-level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience in electrical engineering is required.
- Experience working on solar power installations is required.
- Experience in working in Kenya and the East African Region is desirable.
- Experience in working with Kenyan justice sector actors in desirable.
- Work experience in the United Nations system or similar international organization is desirable
