- We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Solar Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging potential clients, assessing their energy needs, and designing tailored solar solutions. The position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, sales acumen, and project management skills to drive the adoption of renewable energy solutions.
- Conducting in-depth consultations with clients to understand their energy usage, financial considerations, and sustainability goals.
- Assessing the feasibility of solar installations through site evaluations, energy audits, and technical analysis.
- Designing and developing customized solar energy proposals to meet client needs.
- Using engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, PV design tools) to prepare cost estimates.
- Preparing timely quotations, sales orders, and tax credit documentation.
- Clearly explaining technical aspects of solar systems, including design, components, and performance.
- Completing accurate sales documentation.
- Executing sales strategies to acquire new clients and grow the customer base.
- Negotiating terms, pricing, and contracts that balance client expectations and company objectives.
- Managing the full sales cycle: lead generation, proposal, installation coordination, reporting, and payment collection.
- Maintaining strong relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
- Conducting after-sales support including follow-up calls and site visits.
- Providing technical guidance during the sales process and addressing client concerns.
- Collaborating with internal technical teams to ensure accurate information delivery.
- Preparing detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for projects.
- Overseeing project implementation and coordinating with installation teams to ensure timely, successful delivery.
- Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Staying up to date with industry trends, new solar technologies, and policy changes.
- Identifying new market opportunities and developing strategies to capture them.
- Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role (preferred).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and PV design software (highly desirable).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Possession of a T3 License will be an added advantage.
