  • Reporting to the Head of HR, The HR Officer will be involved in both the functional day-to-day running of a hospital chain.
Specific responsibilities include:Talent Acquisition & Management
  • Ensure Jacaranda Maternity acquires, trains and develops high caliber, skilled and well-motivated employees capable of matching our business needs. In particular, support on acquisition and retention of highly talented clinical staff.
  • Work with the recruiting departments to understand staffing needs and support the talent acquisition process and ensure a seamless onboarding experience for joiners, including orientation and training.
  • Support career development, promotions, and internal mobility programs.
Compliance & HR Policies
  • Ensure adherence to Kenyan labor laws, hospital policies, and healthcare industry regulations with the support from the Head of HR.
  • Maintain up-to-date HR records and ensure data privacy.
  • Professional Healthcare practitioners' compliance – Licensing, Indemnities, contracts
Employee Relations & Performance Management
  • Ensure implementation of the HR policies and procedures in accordance with Jacaranda Maternity's core values, best practices and the Kenyan Labour Laws
  • Support the employees on matters HR policies, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters.
  • Address grievances and mediate workplace issues in compliance with labor laws and hospital policies with the support of the Head of HR.
Day- to- Day / Month-to-Month Functions
  • Monthly Reporting on matters relating to the area of responsibility
  • Payroll Support to existing HR Staff
  • Participate in recruitment and selection process/ pipeline of new hires
  • Any other duties assigned on a daily basis to support the daily operations of the department and company at large.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • CHRP Certification preferred
  • Degree in Human Resources Management
  • At least 5 years in a similar role in the healthcare industry
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Experience in Payroll processing
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
