- Architect and implement orchestration pipelines that connect multiple AI models, internal APIs, and University databases, while integrating Model Context Protocol (MCP) standards to standardise how AI agents interact with tools, APIs, and data sources across the Universitys technology ecosystem.
- Design and implement multimodal AI pipelines capable of processing text, images, audio, and documents to support diverse University use cases.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge graph layer integrated with RAG pipelines to enhance contextual reasoning over interconnected University data.
- Deploy and manage on-premise or edge inference solutions for data-sensitive workflows where University data must not leave institutional infrastructure.
- Implement AI safety, security, and guardrail frameworks to enforce output validation, prevent prompt-injection attacks, and ensure AI responses meet institutional and ethical standards.
- Design multi-agent systems where different AI agents handle specialised tasks.
- Develop sophisticated prompt strategies and \”chain of thought\” routines to ensure AI agents perform complex reasoning tasks reliably.
- Partner with University administrators and faculty to understand high-friction manual workflows that could be automated.

- A minimum of a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, data engineering, or software development with a focus on AI.
- Proven experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications in production environments.
- A strong portfolio or GitHub repository demonstrating work with RAG pipelines, agentic systems, or complex AI orchestrations.
- Experience working in an agile/scrum environment is mandatory.
- Administer and maintain web servers (Linux/Windows) and hosting environments.
- Manage domain names, DNS settings, SSL/TLS certificates, and email configurations across all University web properties and portals.
- Perform regular security checks, backups and disaster recovery procedures for all University web properties, ensuring business continuity at all times.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1).
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) strategy for all University websites and portals.
- Take ownership of the end-to-end content upload workflow for the University’s main website, sub-sites, and portal.
- Own and coordinate all activities required to improve and maintain the institution’s standing in the Webometrics Ranking.
- Configure and manage analytics across all University web properties to track and report on user behaviour, traffic sources, and content performance.
- Collaborate closely with the UI/UX Designer to action findings from usability testing, user journey analyses, and UX auditsimplementing recommended interface improvements, navigation enhancements, and accessibility fixes across the University’s websites and portals on time.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for web-related queries from university staff, departments, and the ICT helpdesk.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3+ years of experience as a Webmaster, Web Administrator, or similar role.
- Proven experience managing Linux servers (Ubuntu/CentOS) and familiarity with command-line interfaces.
- Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems and cloud platforms.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications for the university’s internal use (e.g., Student Portal, Finance System, HR modules).
- Write clean, secure, and documented code following industry best practices.
- Develop robust RESTful APIs and microservices to power front-end experiences.
- Design and optimise database schemas (SQL/NoSQL) to handle complex academic and financial data efficiently.
- Implement authentication, authorisation, and role-based access control (RBAC) to secure sensitive university data.
- Collaborate directly with the Senior UI/UX Designer to translate high-fidelity Figma designs into functional, responsive, and interactive user interfaces.
- Ensure pixel-perfect implementation of design specifications and a smooth user experience.
- Optimise frontend performance for fast loading times, even on low-bandwidth connections.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability.
- Assist in deploying applications to staging and production environments.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement fixes.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements to streamline releases.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
- Proven experience building complex, data-driven web applications (ERPs, CRMs, Dashboards, or FinTech platforms).
- A strong GitHub/GitLab portfolio is mandatory. We need to see code samples that demonstrate your ability to handle complex backend logic and database design.
- Experience working in an agile/scrum environment is mandatory.
- Analyse complex administrative workflows to identify pain points and opportunities for automation and simplification.
- Develop user personas, journey maps, and service blueprints specific to the higher education context.
- Lead the end-to-end design process for multiple concurrent internal projects, from concept to final handoff.
- Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and design specifications using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
- Establish and maintain a cohesive Design System (UI Kit, component library) to ensure consistency across all University internal applications.
- Design responsive interfaces that work seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Provide clear design handoffs and be available to developers during the build phase to ensure pixel-perfect implementation.
- Plan and facilitate usability testing sessions to validate design decisions.
- Analyse user feedback and system usage data to continuously iterate on and improve existing features post-launch.
- Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) to cater to a diverse user base.
