- Conduct detailed investment analysis, feasibility studies, and due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
- Prepare financial models, valuations, and forecasts to assess risk-return profiles and strategic alignment.
- Develop investment strategies that align with corporate goals and market trends.
- Monitor performance of ongoing investments and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare periodic investment reports and dashboards for management and board review.
- Evaluate, structure, and negotiate various financing instruments including debt, equity, asset-backed financing, and trade finance.
- Maintain relationships with financial institutions, investors, and development finance partners.
- Analyze and maintain the company's capital structure to ensure optimal cost of capital and leverage ratios.
- Support the CFO in developing strategies for working capital optimization, debt servicing, and liquidity management.
- Oversee loan covenants, credit agreements, and ensure compliance with financial terms and conditions.
- Work closely with FP&A to develop and update long-term financial models and rolling forecasts.
- Participate in annual budgeting processes with a focus on funding availability and investment priorities.
- Analyze historical and projected financial data to identify trends and guide strategic decisions.
- Identify and assess financial and investment risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all investment and financing activities comply with internal policies, financial regulations, and audit requirements.
- Maintain and update documentation related to investment approvals, financing terms, and related agreements.
- Leverage AI and machine learning tools for financial forecasting, market trend analysis, and investment screening.
- Lead integration of intelligent automation in investment tracking, reporting, and risk analytics.
- Evaluate fintech platforms that enhance investment decision-making and funding operations.
- Stay current with global innovations in financial technology and recommend suitable implementations.
- Liaise with internal departments to align financing and investment decisions with operational priorities.
- Prepare high-quality financial presentations, investment memoranda, and board-level reports.
- Act as a key resource during audits, due diligence, and investor discussions.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Additional professional certification in CIFA or CFA (at least Level I) is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in investment management, financial planning, or corporate finance.
- Demonstrated experience raising funds, evaluating large-scale investments, or managing a corporate portfolio.
- Experience working within or supporting capital-intensive sectors such as manufacturing, infrastructure, or energy is highly preferred.
