- Source, structure, and execute private credit investments in the DRE sector across Sub-Saharan Africa
- Focus on on-lending structures via commercial banks, MFIs, and other financial intermediaries
- Lead transactions end-to-end-from origination and due diligence to execution and portfolio management
- Support co-investments alongside development financiers and impact investors
- Engage with local banks and DRE market stakeholders to unlock scalable financing solutions
- Contribute to impact tracking, risk management, and fund reporting
- 7+ years of relevant experience in private credit, blended finance, or DFI/impact investment-preferably with a focus on energy access, infrastructure, or financial inclusion
- Proven experience investing in DRE across Africa, especially via on-lending models
- Strong understanding of Africa's commercial banking landscape, particularly in Eastern and Southern Africa
- Active network in African financial institutions and/or DRE sectors
- Fluent in English; additional African language or French is a plus
- Based in or willing to relocate to Nairobi, Kenya
- Self-starter with sound judgment, strong credit skills, and passion for market-based climate solutions
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability with a high level of attention to numerical accuracy and detail;
- Good team player but also able to work independently;
- Self-motivated with ability to learn quickly and take the initiative to broaden own knowledge
- University degree in a relevant field (e.g. Mathematics, Economics, Finance)
