Kenchic is proud to be the largest integrated poultry operation in East and Central Africa and deals in day-old chicks, processed chicken meat and further processed products such as smoked sausages, choma sausages & sausages.WelderABOUT THE ROLE
  • To fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and equipment in line with technical drawings and safety standards to ensure operational efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Cut, shape, and weld metal components using appropriate welding methods (MIG, TIG, Arc)
  • Fabricate and repair machinery, equipment, and structural components
  • Inspect welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Always adhere to health and safety and Biosecurity regulations
  • Report defects and recommend corrective action
CANDIDATE’S PROFILE:
  • Certificate or Diploma in Welding / Fabrication or related field
  • Valid welding certification preferred
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ relevant experience
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Knowledge of metal properties and welding techniques
