- Lead and inspire a team of Sales Representatives and Technical experts, building capability, embedding company values, and driving adoption of best-in-class selling techniques.
- Deliver growth by achieving sales, volume, and profit targets in East and West Africa, expanding Ingredion's market share with existing and new customers, and spearheading geographical expansion.
- Manage key accounts and distributors, identifying opportunities, negotiating effectively, and strengthening stakeholder networks to ensure profitable, long-term growth.
- Oversee pricing and contracts to deliver competitive, value-driven agreements that maximize returns for Ingredion and our customers.
- Coordinate resources across functions such as supply chain, customer service, technical, finance, and marketing to deliver excellent customer experiences and efficient execution of sales pipelines.
- Drive innovation and customer focus by acting as the voice of the customer, accelerating adoption of new products, and identifying emerging trends and growth opportunities.
- Oversee site operations including forecasting, inventory management, accounts receivable, project management, and holding Power of Attorney responsibilities.
- The assigned Customers are currently in East Africa region, as well as Nigeria and Ghana. The region may can change depending on business needs or strategy.
- Bachelor's degree
- Solid commercial, sales, and business development experience in the B2B food ingredients industry
- Strong commercial and business strategy acumen
- Proven track record in leading, developing, and motivating technical service and/or sales teams
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Sound understanding of food processes and formulations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numeracy skills
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout West and East Africa to visit customers and Ingredion sites
