  • We are looking for a versatile and digitally savvy Marketing Assistant to support marketing initiatives for both The Imaara Mall and Tuffsteel Limited.
  • This role will require someone who can balance creativity with structure: designing engaging content, managing social media platforms, coordinating campaigns, and ensuring timely execution of marketing deliverables. You will gain unique exposure working on B2C retail marketing (for the mall, events, social media, campaigns) and B2B corporate marketing (for Tuffsteel’s brand visibility, client engagement, and product promotions).
  • Graphic Design & Creative Support
  • Design digital and print assets using Canva (Pro) for both brands.
  • Adapt existing templates while ensuring brand consistency.
  • Deliver creative outputs for social media, promotions, presentations, and internal use.
  • Maintain a shared digital asset library for easy reference.
  • Social Media & Community Management
  • Manage Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok (Imaara Mall) and LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter/X (Tuffsteel).
  • Draft and schedule posts across platforms.
  • Respond to comments, messages, and mentions with brand-appropriate tone.
  • Track analytics and prepare performance reports for both brands.
  • Content Creation
  • Capture short-form video and photo content at mall events, store visits, or construction-related activities.
  • Edit content using mobile-friendly tools (CapCut, in-app editing).
  • Collaborate with teams to develop storytelling tailored for both consumer and corporate audiences.
  • Campaign & Administrative Support
  • Support marketing campaigns from planning to execution.
  • Prepare briefs, reports, and presentations for management.
  • Assist in the coordination of mall activations, in-store events, trade shows, or exhibitions.
  • Handle procurement of marketing materials, branded collateral, and vendor liaison.
  • Assist with customer loyalty program activities at The Imaara Mall.
  • Support corporate communication efforts for Tuffsteel (e.g., newsletters, targeted client updates).
  • Help maintain databases and track campaign engagement.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Liaise with mall tenants, suppliers, contractors, and corporate partners.
  • Work closely with internal teams – Commercial, Legal, Maintenance, and Operations.
  • Coordinate with external agencies, printers, and media partners when required.
Key Competencies & Traits
  • Strong design sense and ability to create compelling visuals.
  • Social media native, able to adapt tone and style across audiences (youthful retail vs. professional corporate).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and eager to learn across industries.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in marketing, social media, or content creation
  • Proficiency in Canva required.
  • Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and reporting.
  • Simple video editing skills are an advantage.
  • Integrity, confidentiality, and reliability in handling brand communications.
  • Full-time, office-based in Nairobi with occasional travel to stores, sites, or events.
  • Exposure to both B2B and B2C marketing environments.
  • Hands-on learning across campaigns, activations, and corporate communications.
