Job DescriptionJOB DetailsBusiness Unit : Exercise Books / Notebooks & StationeryPosition : Operations ManagerReports to : GMReported by : Direct 2 Managers, Production & Maintenance Total staff : 150Job Location : Nairobi , KenyaJob Purpose :Develop and Execute business plans in line with the company strategy, align monthly targets, planning, coordination, and control of manufacturing processes to make sure goods are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality while complying to ISO 9706 ("Information and documentation - Paper for documents - Requirements for permanence,")Responsibilities :People management and capacity development to ensure efficient work force and proper succession planning.Ensure a safe work environment for all people within the organization. (Employees, customers, Visitors by implementing EHS best practices.Develop and implement relevant QMS practise to always ensure best quality products.Implementation of Lean manufacturing practices in all business processes.Ensuring efficient Production planning and costing while Maximising Capacity Utilization.Ensure Production Variable Cost Management within budget.Manage Fixed overheads below budget.Ensure all documentation on processes and procedures are reviewed and approved.Ensure efficient Logistics &purchasing processes in line with S&OP.Drive Execution of the Operation business plan.Implement Performance Management system to ensure a high performing organization.Ensure compliance on ISO 9706 Information and documentation - Paper for documents - Requirements for permanence,")Ensuring that the production records are evaluated, reviewed, and approved.Follow up on projects as per Capex approval.Ensure continuous improvement.Ensure efficient warehouse and inventory management process with minimal inventory holding costsPreferred candidate profile :a) Bachelors degree in operations management, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).b) Knowledge of Paper as this has an impact to the output, performance and quality of product.c) Proven experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 10 years in a leadership role within the stationery or related industry.d) Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and supply chain management.e) Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.f) Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools.g) Strategic thinker with a strong focus on process optimization and cost control.h) Skills on Lean manufacturing processes.Production analytics.Scope :a) Changes in production planning based on priorities of the day.b) Manpower planning and acquisition.c) Approval of purchase requisitions (within LOA).d) Quality approval / rejections.Lead the S & OP process for effective demand focusing and inventory managementRemuneration Structure :Net of Tax Salary and Local Salary for expensesFamily status Accommodation with UtilitiesCar and Yearly Tickets to IndiaWP, Visa and tickets provided by companyContact Person :Ms. Gulshan Saiyed / Ms. Pooja RavalPlease send your Updated CV to :We will take up further discussion with you, if you have relevant experience as required in Notebook Production and related Operations.
