Job Description :JOB TITLE: INVENTORY OFFICERAbout This Job:Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Inventory Officer to work in Nairobi, KenyaJob Summary:The job holder is responsible for maintaining the inventory levels of their company’s products, maintains records of materials in inventory and on order. Monitors reorder points and initiates action to replenish stock. He/she will reconcile discrepancies in inventories and notify supervisor of irregularities, inconsistencies, and shortages. In addition to this, he/she will be tracking both incoming and outgoing stocks.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:· Receiving and unpacking incoming shipments of merchandise.· Checking stored inventory and discarding inventory that does not meet the company’s standards.· Maintaining a database of all inventory items, including product codes and other details.· Rotating the stock so the store is up to date with the current requirements.· Processing return items that were damaged in shipment or do not meet quality standards.· Receiving, unpacking, and delivering items to shelves.· Attain proper waste management practices by disposing and keep records of all obsolete items.· Conduct periodic stock count of M-KOPA products.· Adhere to set Kaizen 6 principles.· Managing all the tasks given by the direct manager with the given deadline at the required time/period.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:· (Minimum level of academic qualification, skills and knowledge required to perform effectively in the role)· Diploma in Business, Accounting, or related field· 1-2 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse, or related field· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail· Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills.· Able to work under pressure and tight schedules.· Ability to use inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports, such as spreadsheets.· Proficiency in MS office and report writing.Interested and qualified applicants should submit their applications through the link below.Note:Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.Q-SOURCING SERVTEC IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
