- A Degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- A professional certification in sales or marketing is an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3 years in Modern Trade (Key Accounts).
- Proven track record of growing volumes, achieving revenue targets, and managing large retail chains like Carrefour, Quickmart, Naivas, Chandarana, etc.
- Experience in FMCG or Beverage sector.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills with retail buyers and category managers.
- Expertise in route-to-market strategies, listing procedures, trade terms negotiation, and visibility planning.
- Deep understanding of Modern Trade operations, including shelf space management, planograms, stock rotations, and promotions.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret sell-in vs. sell-out data and drive decisions.
- Competence in trade marketing and category development.
- Leadership skills to coach, mentor, and lead sales teams or merchandisers.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), and sales reporting tools (ERP/CRM).
- Self-driven, result-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with logistics, marketing, and production teams.
- Must have a valid driving license.
- Solid network and contacts within the Retail and distribution Channels.
- Demonstrated ability to open new Modern Trade accounts and improve penetration per outlet.
