We are seeking a dedicated IT Officer to support the hotel’s Information Technology operations in line with Accor’s IT policies and standards. The role focuses on ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations, providing user support, maintaining hardware and software systems, and safeguarding data security. The IT Officer will work closely with the IT Manager, hotel leadership, and various departments to ensure reliable, efficient, and secure use of technology that enhances both guest and staff experiences.
  • Provide first-level IT support to hotel staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the daily operation, maintenance, and monitoring of servers, workstations, POS systems, PMS (Property Management System), and other hotel technology solutions.
  • Support the IT Manager in the implementation of new systems, upgrades, and projects.
  • Ensure data security by monitoring firewalls, antivirus, backups, and user access rights.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT hardware, software licenses, and accessories.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers for repairs, installations, and support.
  • Train hotel staff on basic IT system usage, data protection, and IT best practices.
  • Monitor internet, email, and system usage in compliance with hotel and group IT policies.
  • Ensure business continuity through proactive system checks and disaster recovery preparedness.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and recurring IT issues for reporting to the IT Manager.
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience (minimum 3 years) in a luxury or upscale hotel environment, with at least 2 years in a similar leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with network infrastructure, server maintenance, cloud systems, and data security.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, networking, and server administration.
  • Hands-on experience with hotel systems such as PMS, POS, and accounting applications (Opera, Micros)
  • Proven ability to lead IT projects, manage vendors and budgets, and support end-users across multiple departments.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to interact effectively with guests, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to address challenges proactively and effectively.
  • Experience working with multinational teams and regional/global IT support structures is an added advantage.
