The Centre for Healthcare Quality and Innovation based at the Faculty of Health Sciences is
seeking to hire one locum Qualitative Research Specialist for a three-month period for various
studies based CHQI.Job Purpose:To lead the design, execution, and oversight of all qualitative research activities within the
evaluation work streams.Duties and Responsibilities:1. Design qualitative research SOP outlining the evaluation methodology, sampling strategy,
data collection methods, and analysis plan.
2. Support the drafting and finalize qualitative data collection tools, including semi-structured
Online Survey Tools, Key Informant Interview (KII) guides and Focus Group Discussion (FGD)
guides.
3. Design and conduct a training for the field data collection team.
4. Implement a systematic qualitative analysis, using appropriate techniques.
5. Support Preparation comprehensive Final Qualitative Evaluation Reports.Job Specification:1. PhD or Master's degree in Public Health OR Health Humanities (Medical Anthropology,
Medical Sociology); with an undergraduate degree in Humanities;
2. At least 10 years' experience in qualitative research in health contexts;
3. Knowledge of LMICs health systems.Terms of Employment:These are temporary, full time positions for an initial period of three (3) months with possibility
of extension.
