- Identify and target potential clients (corporates, government agencies, NGOs) within the energy sector using market research, industry reports, and networking.
- Develop and execute strategies to generate high-quality leads through cold outreach, referrals, partnerships, and industry events.
- Conduct in-depth consultations with prospects to understand their business
- challenges and position the company's services as solutions.
- Key Account Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with decision-makers (C-level executives, procurement officers, project managers) in the public and private sectors.
- Public Sector Engagement: Navigate government procurement processes, tender submissions, and compliance requirements for public sector contracts.
- NGO & Development Sector Collaboration: Work with NGOs, international organizations, and donor-funded projects to align services with their program objectives.
- Private Sector Engagement: Master corporate procurement ecosystems including RFP processes, vendor qualification requirements, and multi-tier approval chains (Technical Teams → Procurement → Legal → C-Suite).
- Tailored Solutions: Customize service offerings to meet sector-specific demands.
- Proposal & Pitch Development: Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and bids that highlight value propositions, ROI, and competitive advantages.
- Industry Trends: Stay updated on regulatory changes, funding opportunities, and emerging trends within the assigned sector.
- Competitor Benchmarking: Analyze competitor offerings and adjust sales strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with marketing, product, and delivery teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and service execution.
- Sales Performance Tracking: Maintain accurate records in CRM systems, provide regular sales forecasts, and report on KPIs (conversion rates, revenue growth, pipeline health).
- Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical), Energy Management, Environmental Science
- PMP (Energy Projects), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), LEED
- CRM
- Experience in B2B/B2G Sales: Prior success selling consulting, professional services to large organizations.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications
- Sector Expertise: Deep understanding of the sector's dynamics, pain points,and decision-making processes.
- Persuasive Communication: Ability to articulate complex service offerings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strategic Selling: Consultative sales approach with a focus on long-term client value.
- Private, Government & NGO Procurement Procedures Knowledge: Familiarity with public tenders, grant funding, and donor agency procurement rules (for the energy sector).
