- The Garment Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all garments produced for African Inspired meet the brand’s quality and finishing standards. This role involves inspecting completed items from the workshop, confirming correct stitching, sizing, labeling, and overall workmanship.
- The position also plays a critical role in verifying and recording inventory received from the workshop, ensuring that quantities, styles, and sizes match production records. Only garments that meet approved quality standards are cleared for release to stores.
- Inspect garments for stitching, finishing, stains, loose threads, and defects.
- Confirm sizing, labeling, and overall garment consistency.
- Approve or reject items and return pieces that require correction.
- Record inventory received from the workshop and confirm quantities per style and size.
- Ensure only quality-approved items are released to stores
- Maintain quality control checklists and daily inspection records
- Communicate quality issues clearly to the tailoring/production team.
- Prior experience in garment quality control, tailoring, or production
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Knowledge of garment construction and common defects
- Ability to accurately record and track inventory
- Firm but professional communication with production teams
- Able to work on-site in Nairobi work on-site in Nairobi
- The voice of African Inspired online. Manage daily posting and all online communication across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Handle customer inquiries, take orders, and ensure smooth coordination of both local and international orders. This role works closely with DHL to ensure timely and accurate delivery of international shipments.
- Post and manage content across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
- Respond promptly to DMs, comments, and customer inquiries.
- Take customer orders, confirm details, and follow up on payments.
- Coordinate international orders and work closely with DHL to ensure smooth dispatch and delivery.
- Track shipments, share updates with customers, and resolve delivery-related inquiries.
- Maintain professional, brand-aligned online communication at all times.
- Prepare simple daily or weekly reports on online inquiries and sales.
- Prior experience managing business social media accounts.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Experience handling online orders and customer follow-ups.
- Familiarity with DHL or international shipping processes is an added advantage.
- Highly organized, responsive, and able to work on-site.
- Basic content editing skills are a plus.
- Create high-quality photos and short-form videos in our stores, model outfits, showcase available items, and help keep our social media vibrant with consistent content.
- Create in-store outfit videos, try-ons, new arrivals showcases, styling content.
- Capture product photos/videos for Stories, Reels, TikTok, and website use.
- Consistently update customers on what’s available in-store (new stock/restocks).
- Deliver edited content on schedule.
- Collaborate with the social media team on content ideas and trends.
- Strong on-camera confidence and/or strong content creation skills.
- Portfolio or social media links showing your work (Mandatory)
- Basic editing skills (CapCut, InShot, Canva, Lightroom, etc.)
- Interest in fashion and ability to style looks is a big advantage.
- Must be available on-site across our store locations.
- Manage website updates and support online customer communication through social media platforms. Ensure the African Inspired website remains accurate, functional, and up to date while supporting smooth online operations.
- Upload and update product listings on the website (pricing, images, descriptions, stock).
- Maintain website accuracy and functionality, including pages, links, and checkout flow.
- Support digital updates on social media platforms.
- Respond to customer requests on social media when required.
- Work closely with the Digital Communications Specialist to ensure aligned online messaging and updates.
- Recommend improvements to website and e-commerce platforms.
- Assist with website updates for launches, promotions, and collections.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate technical issues when necessary.
- Demonstrated experience managing or maintaining e-commerce
- websites and similar digital communication platforms.
- Experience with Shopify or similar platforms is an advantage.
- Design and content editing skills are an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with digital tools and learning new systems quickly.
- Good written communication skills.
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Able to identify issues and take initiative to resolve or escalate them.
