- Facilitating the development of new products along with the New Product Development manager.
- Carrying out Preformulation and formulation studies for all new products.
- Facilitating proper scaleup of the product from New Product Development trial batch to Pilot Batch to Commercial Batch.
- Documentation of all procedures entailed in the Product Development process at length and in summary.
- Developing experimental Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR).
- Assist the NPD Manager in sourcing dossiers from contracted (external) product manufacturers as required.
- Preparation of Pharmaceutical Development Reports for the newly developed formulation.
- Ensuring improvement of process/formulation where possible and being involved in troubleshooting activities.
- Ensuring artwork development for Packaging Materials.
- Prepare & Participate in the Execution of Stability batches and initiate stability studies as per requirements.
- Working in liaison with the QA department in the implementation and closure of CAPAs related to product and process.

- Experience - 5 years working experience in Regulatory Affairs department and Research and Development department.

- Participate in setting and managing sales budgets for the region. Maximizing support to distributors and end customers.

- Degree in Veterinary Medicine, BSc Animal Health, Diploma in Animal Science, Certificate in Animal Health and Production, or equivalent.
- 3 years' sales and marketing experience in the animal health and nutrition industry.
- Commercial qualifications will be an added advantage.
- Registered with a statutory regulatory body
- Working knowledge of the Kenyan animal health industry
- Ability to develop and run projects.
- Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
- Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
- Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
- Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and gotomarket strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics

- Machine Setup and Operations:
- Prepare the compression machine for production runs by ensuring proper calibration, alignment, and adjustments.
- Install and adjust necessary tools, fixtures, or attachments to facilitate production processes.
- Load raw materials into the machine and ensure proper feeding mechanisms are in place.
- Machine Operation:
- Operate assigned machines (i.e., Tablet Compression Machine) according to established procedures and guidelines.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Make necessary adjustments to machine settings and controls to maintain quality and productivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine malfunctions or issues that may arise during operation.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to keep machines in optimal condition.
- Monitor production output and quality, making adjustments as needed to meet production targets.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct regular quality checks on output to ensure it meets established standards.
- Inspect finished products for defects, such as incorrect dimensions or visual imperfections.
- Identify and address any quality issues promptly, escalating problems to supervisors as necessary.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate production records, including machine logs, output quantities, and any issues encountered during operation.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Suggest process improvements or modifications to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols, guidelines, and regulations while operating machinery.
