We are hiring a Business Development Officer who will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and driving customer growth. He/She will be implementing business development plans and initiatives to increase the number of communities/groups using Givva - our community management platform and consuming our investment products. We are looking for a forward-looking thinker, one who is able to tailor-make viable and impactful solutions to the communities that we work with.Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for selling Givva products and services to self-help and community-based organizations.
  • Actively drive growth in customer numbers while ensuring full adherence to the customer on-boarding policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to organize and conduct financial literacy and products trainings for communities and individuals.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by responding to inquiries promptly, resolving issues, and maintaining long-term client relationships.
  • Participate in product development by collecting client feedback, analyzing market trends, and providing insights to enhance existing products and inform new solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver products presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Secure new business using a variety of methods, such as cold calling, emails, community outreach, and referrals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personal contact information on prospects-individual clients, and communities.
  • Identify and pursue new business frontiers by exploring untapped markets, partnerships, and opportunities that drive growth and expand Givva’s customer base.
Qualification Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Finance, Marketing, or Business-related field.
  • Knowledge in Sales and Marketing, or capital markets, will be an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years’ experience working as a business development officer or similar role.
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills with excellent customer service.
  • A team player with the drive to improve performance.
  • Self-driven and possess the ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a passion for communities.
