Job Description
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow tracking. Identify and resolve discrepancies in bank transactions and statements.
  • Process payments, manage petty cash, and ensure proper financial documentation.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and ledger reconciliations.
  • Support in preparing and filing statutory deductions, including SHIF, NSSF, and other related taxes.
  • Manage subscription, invoicing, and maintain records of tracking MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue), ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue), and other SAAS KPI trackers.
  • Manage accounts receivable by tracking customer payments, reconciling balances, and following up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections.
  • Manage vendor payments, staff reimbursements, and expense claims.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards (like GAAP/IFRS), and tax regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits with required documentation and ensure financial records comply with KRA and IFRS regulations.
  • Support preparation of budgets and rolling forecasts and track SaaS-related operational costs and maintain a Variance Report.
  • Maintaining a proper and orderly filing system of payment vouchers and other finance documents.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field
  • At least an ongoing CPA Intermediate level /ACCA is an added advantage
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an Accountants role or similar position
  • Knowledge and Familiarity of Accounting software,Expense management and Data analytic tools (ZOHO Books, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets or similar Platforms)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • High integrity and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with both internal team members, customers and suppliers.
